Dream log #1 (I’ve always wanted to record my dreams somewhere somehow, yet my innate talent for procrastination and laziness have mauled over my passion in writing these dreams. So here, I fight my talent with strong passion (sheesh.. hope it’ll last.)
It was an afternoon or night like no other, I really couldn’t tell what time of day it is. I guess its one of those dreams where you are clueless about what time it is, its all about you and someone else in a place that cannot be bound by time, only by space. The space here is a popular shopping mall in the Philippines, the SM Megamall. Not inside the mall though, the dream took place outside.
In some strange and peculiar way, there is a giant pillar standing infront of the mall. It seems like a hundred feet up from the ground where dozens of wires are attached to its expanded surface circumnavigating the edifice. And there I was, holding firmly on something attached to the wire as the pillar rotated with a pace similar to that of an easy bicycle ride along the park. Yeah, its more like an amusement park ride, but the difference is, you’re way above from the ground and the only thing that seperates you between life and death is a wire with a weird handle at the bottom end. Once you let go, most likely you would say goodbye to everything you know and everything that knows you.
So there I was, and oddly enough, I was with my schoolmates in college. All of us struggling not to let go of our lifeline. But one after another, they were dropping like flies, as I myself tried desperately not to let go. I was scared, at the same time I was excited. Scared because I might die, excited because I might die. Strange as it may sound, I guess the reason why I felt excited is because I’m actually living life by trying to survive. I have no idea what happened next, but in the end, we were all alive and were standing safely on the ground, and there we saw the officer or the ride, who strangely enough, is the officer (whom 2 of my classmates have a crush in.. haha.) who kinda supervised us during the thesis exhibit at the PODIUM, a mall right behind Megamall. Then a streak of light cut through the blue (or was it black?) skies as I opened my eyes and finally ended that ethereal experience..
